AMEN! CAUGHT IN THE CROSS-FIRE OF THE HOLY GHOST... LET THE BATTLE BEGIN! Excerpt from letter to Edward of the Enoch: Deuteronomy 24 1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. 2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. God cannot lie and the Blood of Jesus does not wash away the law, but sin. Now the strength of the law is sin and Christ suffered all of us a schoolmaster for good reason; for had I known a law that said, thou shalt not have two wives, then I would have known sin; but to this day I only know that no such law exists, except that thou shalt not covet; therefore I have no knowledge of sin; for I do not covet my neighbour's wife as do so many self-appointed monogamists, though most of them don crooked halos for practicing bigamy, if not adultery and fornication; yet even these live in denial to state that a paper writ wipes all of this clean, when my Lord said nothing of the sort. I look to the Blood of the Lamb for my redemption. Caesar can grant me no such license; howbeit, even this does not nullify the law; for the law is good if it is used lawfully and there is no such law forbidding a man of GOD to have more than one wife.
I find it interesting that those nations that practice the Muslim faith have a divorce rate thirty times less than that of North America. It would seem to me that such arranged marriages may not be such a bad idea after all. I still commend my beloved Hope's father nonetheless, for allowing for GOD to decide; because that is precisely how my beloved came to be mine. I stood outside his door (with his daughter and her mother) seeking to use the men's room and peradventure have a chat with him if not but to shake his hand; but I was was refused admission to the house. It felt as though my kidneys were going to burst but I made it to a public washroom just in time and I'm grateful that Hope didn't get a speeding ticket in the process. (Sometimes I wonder if I should have relieved myself on his door step, but GOD doesn't miss a thing.) Prior to this event I had already attended a family reunion and a crawfish boil and met the rest of the family. Only Hope's father behaved like a complete dork and did not attend any of these family functions. I prayed that GOD would soften her father's heart, but his heart was only hardened the more. It was very hot there and they did not have any rain for 21 days; so I prayed for rain in my last week there and of course, it came; for GOD was with me. |
