| ATTENTION PLEASE: I AM THE HEAD MANAGER OF THIS FORUM AND I HAVE MADE SOME CHANGES. Not everybody here wants to discuss marriage and politics all the time and I don't blame them. Not every member here wants to see the message boards plastered with Enochrodofiron1's narratives inundating all the message boards and wiping out everyone else's contributions as though Enoch was the only member who had anything important to say. This group has gotten along fine with no EXTRA RULES added to it going on two years with the exception of ONE PROBLEM. I believe have resolved that problem by the grace of God. Henceforth all further posts by EnochRodofIron1 are to be posted here: All replies in this Group to EnochRodofIron1 are also to be posted to this thread and this thread only. I TRUST THAT I WON'T HAVE TO MAKE A SPECIAL RULE LIST for those who fail to comply. This is not an official "Rule" per se, but a policy that I intend to keep as a moderator of this Msn Group. I don't think that I excerised too much restriction in this case as there were several past incidents involving these sorts of posts which could only be considered vaguely applicable to the leaderboards. I don't mind new topics being started but when the subject material at hadn is getting so muddled with other material that is less pertinent than it is pertinent, I think that the quality of the discussion is compromised. I would like the group to understand that I appreciate narratives for their value but such narratives are not discussions. Narratives can be valuable in their own right and I have written many of these sorts of informational monologues myself, as the left-hand column of this forum will confirm. I feel obliged to state for the record that I surely communicated this concern to Enoch more than once and that I was told by him to moderate his material whichever way I pleased. Well, I don't have time for all that cutting and pasting and I really think that it is unecessary. Since I wasn't getting much cooperation in this, my solution to the problem was to have him post his material on one thread that he could just keep adding to indefinately and if he thought the words of other members were significant he could incorporate them in his work. It didn't sound like such a bad idea to me at the time however I suppose Enoch felt otherwise. I think that much of the material that other posters contribute here is equally valuable to Enoch's. I also think that I reserve the privilege of "spamming" the forum that I founded myself a privilege exclusive to me. Enoch has several of his own that he can spam. Of course, I would also agree that the consequences of doing so are not very likely desirable for either of us. Rather than engaging in any "spam wars" I made a decision and I wasn't going to pussy-foot around about it. I singled Enoch out because he was the only member here who was doing this sort of random "copy and paste" spamming and it was disturbing to other members here as well as myself. We had an inside joke running about seeing the forest for the trees. The way to take down a forest is one tree at a time, but it seems that Enoch wanted to keep coming in with his bulldozer and engage in mass clear-cutting. I suppose we all have different directives and so I'm supposing that Enoch decided to pack up his toys and hop on the D-NINE tractor cat and drive it out to greener forests. I wish him the best. Considering he believes the second coming of Christ is due in about 25 months (counting back from the time he first started spamming the groups with his "30 months left" material) I should think that he has much work to do. As you know, I do not share this persuasion with him so my priorities are different. It is evident that Enoch does not think that much of my material is relevant to his mission and it is also evident that he believes that the contributions of others are inferior to his own. Yes, the "end is near" and we are in the business of saving souls in the knowledge that only JESUS saves. Surely most of us would agree that we all have a mission if we are found in the Body of Christ. Not everyone has the same mission. All I wanted to do was try to get a little order in the forum here and I felt my back was to the wall each time Enoch ploughed through on his D-NINE DIESEL. I think I was quite fair in making my decision. Unlike other groups I didn't expel him, or ban him, or terminate his membership. I don't have time to moderate his work on an ongoing basis so this seemed to me like the only viable solution for all parties concerned. No matter how much time we have left on this earth before the return of Christ, whether it be one day or 5000 years, am I mistaken in believing that our primary aim as a follower of Jesus Christ is the salvation of the lost through His blood? It's not about how much authority He will decide to give or not give us in the hereafter (granted that He is the only one who can do and decide on such a thing), but about how vocal we are about this glorious gift of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. It would make sense that a "reward" is not very "rewarding" if we try and bargain and blackmail for it. That's my two cents. | | Reply
| | | Amen Sister. We see that the fields are ripe for harvest even today, but how many will reap and who will go except he be sent? For I have seen both the forest and the trees and the seed that fell by the tree and with the tree. I have collected much seed and I know that I will be responsible for many trees planted hence. I worked a while in forestry here also. I nearly began a career in silvaculture prior to the Y2K but things were too unstable at that time to make a confident choice. My children were growing fast. It was time to purchase land and so I did. I would gather seed again in the hope and promise that these trees that issued would grow tall, but yet no man knoweth the day. It would seem that we live in the 23rd. hour and we know that He shall come as a thief in the night. Sometimes God suffers a man to draw certain to him. In is important to bear in mind just Who is in control of the show. As you have so modestly stated, Jesus is verily the FINAL AUTHORITY and He knows them that are His. Howbeit I understand that there are many horizons in store for those who choose Him. Therefore we see the wisdom of men is foolishness unto God.
