Dictivore Hmm, there’s something interesting I noticed the other day. If you don’t know where I spotted it, then you don’t know me.
Anyway, it said that an animal that eats plants is an herbivore and the meat eaters are called carnivores, (Carnivores? I always thought that that was the guy that was always hollering at carnivals). Of course, if you eat both plants and meat, you are an omnivore. Now, I am sure you all knew this, and, I believe, you all know that the suffix, vore, comes from the Latin word “vorare�?which means, “to devour�?
With that in mind you may, or may not, know that there are other words that describe other type of creatures, such as:
A piscovore eats fish! Cool huh?
Okay now, a frugivore, (sounds dirty doesn’t it?), eats fruit.
An insectivore, easy enough, eats insects.
A sapovore is an animal that feeds on decaying matter, (sounds like a Republican!)
A mucivore, (YUCH!), is an insect that feeds on plant juices.
And a sanguinivore is an animal that feeds on the blood of other animals, (now that sounds like a Democrat!)

Okay, it was stupid; I just thought you might like to know these things.
And, you notice, I made up one; Dictivore. Hey, a writer and a poet, we devour words.
