yes switch, they're on my lanai (balcony)...
it's actually a sad looking plant and i wasn't sure what it was going to do, if anything at all...
then these balls popped out, five of them... i figured they held seeds.... to my surprise... orchids! the last ball, became an orchid this morning... they should last for a few weeks and then the plant will become somewhat dormant, if not dead... but i will continue to nurture it in hopes i get another bloom before next march!
i have other orchids, a very different looking plant... they bloomed a few months ago and they were on the white/yellow side, with a tinge of deep orange!
it's a shame they don't have an odor... apparently orchids do well in hawai'i, because i couldn't grow them back east to save my life!
