Jen, this is the only piece from my current book in the library that i would like in the New One! b-t-w, this is on a black bkgrnd. (this font colour does show up!) thanks kiddo... i'm still thinking of what poems say "Dee"... i'll get back to you soon, Dee Dear Diary [written in 1519 a.d.] Sept. 2nd Leonardo drew a man with wings today. Sept. 14th Leonardo drew seventy-seven consecutive pictures of nudes, they were all men. Sept. 27th Leonardo drew angels flying around the bosom of the Blessed Mother! Oct. 13th Yesterday, Leonardo stole a steam roller from Giuseppe's construction yard. Oct. 14th Today, Leonardo stood on the corner of Venice Lane and Spaghetti Alley. All day. He says, "to target women". I don't know what has gotten into my Leonardo. He is acting strange, lika poor Uncle Louie did before slicing his private organ and discovering sausage. Oct. 15th Leonardo locked himself in his room. Oct. 16th Leonardo's still in his room. I ama so worried! Oct. 17th I heard engines roaring and ooooh, the moaning... anda the ceiling, ita shook alot. Oct. 18th Leonardo finally came out of hisa room and into the kitchen this morning, mumbling something about a woman. Heavens, I ama so happy he has a girlfriend! Oct. 19th Leonardo sure can draw, but I can barely make- out his supermarket list. Dec. 21st Leonardo died today. I will go through his paintings. I will donate them to the museum. Now... letsa see - oh, this isa very nice. A homely looking lady, though. Whatsa this say... gninaoM Lisa. eh? Something Lisa. Eh - can't figure it out. I'll call her Mona Lisa. ____________________________________© dlc jan. 6, 1987 A Little FYI: Leonardo daVinci born April 15, 1452, died May 2, 1519. Mona Lisa was painted in 1503. Welcome Aboard Welcome aboard... I am your guide for the afternoon. For lack of a better name, you can refer to me as, 'hey lady with the pointer'. On the trip today, we will see none of the usual tourist sights! I'm sorry, but I am sick of the same route - it's all a show. You're only privy to see the posh and glit, New York at it's finest. You get off this bus into a cab back to your park avenue hotel suite. I get off this fumetrap and i walk. Through neighborhoods of warehouses and closed-up, closed-off businesses, over street-people living in their refridgerator-box-houses, between alleys of shadows, of darkness and paranoia. There are always footsteps behind - always walk fast and loud never slow down or turn around. On your left is a YMCA homeless housing unit. If you look up to the third floor, see that window near the fire-escape, there he is - Mr. Joseph Ketter - he's Santa at Macy's. Or at least he was for twenty-nine years. He got canned the day after Christmas. Everybody wave. Now we'll be going into an area known as Columbus Circle. We'll stop here for a while. Go ahead - if you're hungry there's a Sabrette hot dog vendor on the curb. For those of you who'd like to take pictures, you'll witness an incredible amount of drug deals. And, my, aren't they young? Nothing like a sunny afternoon spent watching strung-out kids hustling a buck. OK, now the fun begins. Let's go to the Wall Street District to pick out the prostitutes... As we near the end of the line, I'd like to thank you for sharing with us, our beautiful city. As a finale, I just want to tell you that you will be on TV tonight at 5. You see boys and girls, I've had it! You are all very nice people, it's this job that sucks! It's this city that sucks it's the people like a snake will coil, tightly, then suck the life out of a victim, putting venom into the jugular. My venom here is this gun... Now watch my jugular closely. © dlc 1987 | | | | don't know why this got messed up, if you need the mortar & bricks rebuilt, let me know! Dee |

switchie seems to feel that this belongs in my book! ? and my forte may be in storytelling ? (but that's not the issue here) the only problem i have with putting this in here, now, if you look at the dates, my fish story began in march , it's now june and still i find that i write their story. possibly, when the future provides me the opportunity.. i will have a 'part two' ?! sorry i'm rambling, i'm a little toked up and rambling, what else is new? long story, short - Can you please put this in my book when you have a chance, Jen? (was that so hard DENSE ONE?) >chuckle chuckle< Dee |
