Burning Tears

Of Tears and Candle Wax

My tears fuel the fire
    deep within my heart
The sorrow in my soul
    Of this life I tire
I have known my part
    This world takes its toll
My tears do not come
    On my cheeks they run
And me left a mere a husk of a man
Finding their way to my soul
    leaving nowhere to stand
Not finding my role
    far away from the sun
A single candle
    lights my deep sorrow
A single idea...
    I dread tomorrow
As a man...I stand
    Naked to the pain.

Beyond Yesterday

To step beyond the pain
Can be the hardest step you ever take
To be able to dance in the rain
Standing strong and naked to the heartbreak

To step up and burst into life a new
To wake at dawn and see promise in the day
Realizing that through yesterday's pain, you grew
Is worth all the pain this world, on you heart, can lay

See promise in what life has to provide you
Cherish friends and value love and family much
Don't let pain and bitterness divide and make you blue
Take heart in what love and joys you have, don't rush.

Just talking to myself

To run away is crazy I know
but when all in my life says to do so
I heed the call of my inner soul
and in doing so the world takes it's toll

We should all just be and enjoy
We should all talk and realize...

We all, each one of us, come from the same place... a place we call home.

Courage

To speak your mind
Courage
To follow your heart
Understanding comes to those who test
Love comes to those that trust
Sunsets come to those that stay together
And come to love, trust, understand and believe in each other.

Unknown Trust

In my life I have
meet only one
That made it real
She would be you

You have no rival
Walk with me
Out in the sun
Together

I hold out my hand
to catch your sands
flowing through my fingers
My love for you lingers

The truth is in our hearts
The truth is in our love
Trust must be earned
And freely accepted

No anger...no fear
Trusting is harder still
Trust comes hard like a tear
unwanted hurts of the not know

Be Careful What You Ask For...

Did you ever cry into the night...
                                    Only to hear it echo...
                                                    in an empty soul.
Have you ever woken to day light...

Only to know no one knows...

How badly you are broken.

When you look in the mirror

Do you like what you see?

Do you let others pry out the secrets

In your soul?

Or do you simply say...

nahh... I'm okay...

when your not?

Then from deep in my soul...

I scream... I need to be whole...

Again.

Picking Up The Beat

My life stretched tight as a drum,
I tap out a rhythm on the liquid surface.
Each beat of my heart sends out ripples in my world.

To even pick up my sticks,
means I care enough to follow the timeing
of the hearts that surround me in my life

I close my eyes and let the music direct my hands
and they tap out the meanings of my soul.
I play my own beat in compliment to yours.

So give yourself up the magic of life
and drum up the feelings you feel.
When you reach the solo, always look for ways...

Of rejoining the song of life when you are through.

Free Flight

Two birds on a wire
testing each other's fire
The lights of the airport
pass before my weary eyes

Sifting out where my future lies
Evaluating my current ties

We run to keep up
holdin' feelings inside
Reaching out in our lives

Holding each other tightly
In our weary souls
trying to fill in the wholes

Holding out our hearts
looking for a fresh start

Holding each other's hand
Wondering why the other has not ran

The Horse Trader

The pounding reins
Of yesterday’s tears
Lead me down
The dreary road of today

The joy I once found
Gazing into your eyes
Is hobbled by distance
And my faultering gait

Unbridled rides at dawn
a beautiful, insipid memory
Breakneck sprints in the dark
an aching need in the final strech

The rhythmic rhyme
of our ride in time
We won the race
but lost our place

Your crop too willing
my flanks too tender
Your mount is running,
full out, yet you ask for more

okay... next cut... work.. work... work... and sometimes it makes sense. slow

The Stage of Life

I fell in love with the director.
Our relationship perfectly scripted in her head...
My role dictated, my character regulated
all I ever wanted was a forever love...

I threw out the script
and played my part true...
Ad libing my sweet little ass off.

The scenery was over the top...
The lighting was amazing
The show was a hit!
and the people cheered...
but we were through.
. . .

Act I... Part II

I am now a free agent...
See the passion in my eyes?
See the sexy style of my soul?

Give me a part to play...
hand me a script,
and I will play it true
my way.

But, please make it a forever love.
No more auditions for me.
I really, truely want
The real thing.
. . .

Jen,

Thank you... These are just scraps from the cutting room floor... I hope they are good enough to post here.

Thanks,

You had me at Hello?/P>

The sweet, subtle mischief in your eyes

Poetry motion in your body

Call to me in a voice of their own

My heart hammering

My senses yearning

To hear your wonderfully sultry voice

The humorous laughter in your style

This is how I see you my friend.

Bob...I'm going to work on your book now.  I was stalled for the longest time...couldn't do shit in the groups...was really aggravating.  Took away my motivation to try.  I know...bad jen.  BUT...I'm back on the job...lol...

I have a book cover for you that matches the other books in the library, but I'll find a way to use your graphic...it's cool.

As I finish pages, I'll let you know so you can give it the nod or the trash
