Hello HFB! I hope the holiday season finds you well. I wish all of you a Merry, Merry Christmas! I had a very cool experience today, and I just had to share. In fact, one of my first thoughts, other than "Thank you, Lord!" was, "I have to make a post." LOL On Thursday I was washing my face at the bathroom sink. I had a fleeting thought to close the drain so I wouldn't lose my nose stud, should it fall out (yes, my nose is pierced with a delicate little rhinestone... so small my Dad wouldn't have even noticed it if I hadn't made him look directly at it, LOL). Well, I didn't close the drain and the silly thing popped out and went down, down, down . I tried to access the trap in the pipe, but the owners before me thought it would be more aesthetically pleasing to paint the pipes white, therefore making it impossible for me to coax it open - even with a pipe wrench. I just sat on the floor and said, "Lord, can you please help me get this thing back?" then continued to lose a bizarre stick & magnet contraption in my attempts to salvage it myself. The next afternoon, after my shower, I gazed sadly toward the sink, still trying to figure out how to get that darn stud back...hey, it's gold, and I'm not rich, lol...when I spied the stud sitting in plain view beside the faucet, where it had definitely not been only hours before. I was elated, and I just looked up and said, "Oh, thank you, Lord!" I texted my sister to ask where she found the stud, and she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about; she had only seen the exact same items I had when she was getting ready in the morning before work. We are the only two people living in the condo, aside from our 3 little dogs who can't reach the top of the pedestal sink. I thought she may be kidding around, so I asked her three times! She was a little freaked out, lol, but I knew I had a direct prayer answered in the most direct way. You may think, "Gee, big deal. It was only a nose stud." But I can't help but feel the message was more like, "See? Anything is possible. Ask, and you shall receive." I've had this beaming smile on my face for the entire day. Put God first, and the rest will fall into place. Much Love & Light, Amber |

YAY Amber got her stud back!!! LOL I just have tell everyone that during chat you were quite upset that you had lost it and had to wear a honkin' big thing in your nose instead of your lovely little stone stud. I completely understand where you're coming from! Yes, you're right always put God first. He must have known how important it was to you if he brought it back. I think that's really cool! It reminds me of a story when I was little, not a cool lost and found sort of story, but it dealt with an earring lodged somewhere. I had to be about 7'ish and I had asked my Mom to put my earrings in for me. No, we didn't have money either, but my earring studs were gold too and had little diamonds in them. I remember thinking how beautiful they were and wanted to wear them that day. Mom asked me to lay in bed and put my head on her lap so she could see what she was doing. I remember thinking, oh please God don't let her loose it! Sure enough, what happened? Definately not what you're thinking, it went into my little ear canal! Up we got and Mom was freaking out that we had to goto the Doctors so he could remove it. We were upstairs in my bedroom and I got to the top of the stairs to goto the Doctors before any damage was done and I remember praying and praying. Please God let this fall out on it's own so I don't have to goto the Doctors! I had been to the Doctors enough in my life time, even at that age, I didn't want to go b/c of some silly earring in my ear. Sure enough before my first step down, I could feel it move. I let out a "It's moving!!!!" So I put my head to it's side and it fell out, lol. I remember it all like it was yesterday. Very funny story to say the least, but a little scary at the time. Your nose stud lodged in the drain reminded me of that, lol. I'm happy it was brought back to you! Very cool story Amber, thank you for sharing it!!! Merry Christmas to you, your family, and your fur babies too! L&L, ~Mandi~ |

Both those stories were great. I'm glad that you got your nose ring back Amber...and your earring Mandi. I think I've posted before about frantically looking for my mom's Diamond Cross after she'd passed away. I'd given to her and I "needed" to have that. I searched and searched but nothing. One day, cleaning out her drawner near her bathroom sink I needed to put something away in the Medicine cabinet. When I opened the cabinet a little purple box fell out...granted I'd already gone through the Medicine cabinet and alll the little boxes as mom like to hide things that way. So I pick up the box and thought...what the heck I'll look again but I know it's not there. I dumped the contents into my hand and there it was!! I was a bawling mess after that and oh so grateful that spirit for knocking it out of the Medicine cabinet and making me look again. I wouldn't have done so otherwise. Claddaugh Mary |
