Dear Sandy,

I am happy to pray for you!  I am sure that being at a larger facility such as this hospital with their more strict regulations will be a wonderful blessing to you. Often it is the co-workers who can alter the feelings of any type of job placement no matter what, but at your new job you will regain that sense of purpose and joy of giving once again.. You will be much happier with your going to a larger and more organized facility, and I pray you get this job. There is an old saying "act like you already have the power within you to achieve your goal".

Love and Prayers,

Lilly

That's really encouraging news, Sandy, and I'm so glad you went and phoned them.  As soon as I read that you were waiting to receive a letter, I, too, was thinking that you should contact them.  That shows that you are an "eager beaver" which is good... Keep us updated, please

Love and Prayers,

Lilly

Dear Sandy,
I'm brand new here, but let me put in my two cents here.  Working with co-workers who put their wants and personal needs ahead of and above the needs of the public, clients, patients, or whoever the company or agency was created to serve, is unfortunately all too commen, but in an agency that was created as a caregiver to people in need, it's inexcusable.  You sound like a person who is dedicated to resolving those needs, so I would assume that you are very good at what you do.  If those are the conditions you have to work under, you're right in wanting to get out.  That internal infighting is distracting and preventing you from doing your best.

With regard to your post interview phone call, you did the absolute right thing.  Having been the person who made the decisions on hiring and firing in the past, I can tell you from the employers perspective,.it's not only important to hire quilified persons, but qualified persons who are enthsuiastic and really interested in doing the job for you. Your follow-up phone call did just that.  I'm sure that will give you some edge in your upcoming second interview.  Good luck to you dear. . . . . . . Paul

Hi Sandy!
WOW, good for you for knowing when to get out.  I've also had a job that I felt was very important and yet the only person I worked with made my life miserable.  Choosing to get out was the best thing that I did.  I feel for anyone having a job and dreading to go in for their shifts.  It's not a nice feeling.  I'm happy that you chose the right direction here!  That's a very difficult thing to do.
I'm glad to hear that you ended up calling the hospital.  I don't need to tell you that hospitals are busy, that includes the HR department.  When I was hired at the hospital there were four others that I knew who had interviews at the same time I did.  During all of our interviews we were all told that we got the job and to expect letters in the mail about when our orientation was and our HR stuff that we needed to sign.  I was the only one to receive the package, and it was only two days before the orientation!!!  The others that I had known that also got the jobs never got anything in the mail, and thought they ended up not getting the job.  That just goes to show, when in doubt call!  It never hurts to inquire.  If anything, it will show them that you are very interested in the position you've applied for.
And my goodness, a hospital!?!  YAY!  That's very exciting.  We also have health care assistants, we call them Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) at the hospital I work at.  I would imagine it's the same duties.  Not only will it be much more hands on, but I would think you would also have a union and better pay.  Union's can be great, that way you never have to fight a battle alone if one arises.  I'm sure a couple extra bucks in your pocket is also a bonus!
I'm very happy for you!  I'll pray that you blow them away during your interview and that you get the job.  Please let us know how it goes.
Love, Light and Good Luck!
~Mandi~

Hi Everyone........How can i put into words what your lovely response's mean  to me  ?? blessed and i mean honestly blessed to be a member of this wonderful family ...my confidence has gone up by at least 75%  and i have you all to thank for it .. fingers crossed i do not gabble on to much when i go for my interview lol i tend to talk when i am really nervous ! ... AHHHHHH Sandy, congrats girl!  I knew you could do it!
Everything happens for a reason and you were obviously meant to get that job.  I'm so happy to hear it went well.  There aren't too many better Christmas gifts than that, eh?  Good for you!  You deserve it.
You go girl!
