Ankhassa1 (Original Message) | Sent: 4/22/2003 6:08 AM | Merry meet, peeps My name's not my magical name, it means a lot to me though. A friend of mine 'gave' it to me years ago, and I really like it. Now I feel more like 'Ankhassa' than my birth name. it means something like "Live long & prosper", as far as I know. 'Star Trek' fans will be familiar with this expression. I've got as far as the 'live long' bit! Brightest Blessings Ankhassa. (I usually whisper the last bit for dramatic effect!)

Greetings Ankhassa, I know what you mean about feeling like thats your real name. I have been Athena or Athena Ravenmoon for so long, very few of my Pagan friends know my real name. I have grown into my magickal name and it has grown into me. If I'm ever "given" a new name by the Lord and Lady, I would truly mourn the loss of my name. That is what makes magickal names so special, the ability to be owned ONLY by you. The name soaks up the essence of you and vice-versa. Enjoy your name. It's special. Nice meeting you, Love and Blessings,
