REIKI

Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved in Japan from the experience and dedication of Dr. Mikao Usui.   Dr. Usui was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teachings after many years of study, research and meditation. He spent the rest of his life practicing and teaching Reiki. Today Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student.  The knowledge that an unseen energy flows through all living things and is connected directly to the quality of health.   The existence of this "life force energy" has been verified by recent scientific experiments, and medical doctors are considering the role it plays in the functioning of the immune system and the healing process.  Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life.  The Reiki hand positions are primarly placed over the chakras.  Chakras are located one layer away from the physical body level.
