Since the beginning of time nearly all cultures (even the ancient ones) have described in their legends a creature that walks only in the night to come and take the blood or life out of their victims. Many years before Bram Stoker ever wrote his novel about Vlad Dracula these legends existed. In all legends it is described that the only way to kill these creatures was to take out thier hearts or drive a stake through it, expose them to sunlight, burn their bodies or seperate their heads from where their bodies were buried. This depends on which legend from what part of the world but are all basically the same. Vampires as we know them today are portrayed as young, beautiful, sexy creatures that can take on many shapes and guises. They truely are tortured souls livng throughout eternity. They are the damned! Their myths and legends are a very interesting topic. Do these creatures exist or are they just a myth?
