The Fate of Controlling My heart opened until I thought I would burst. My mind was filled with a golden light like the sun. I took a deep breath, and a serenity came upon me as if in the stillness I had frozen my spirit, and all that I had been saying seemed to run like water down through my body and out through my feet into the earth. I saw the face of power, as if for a moment my eyes opened up and saw the truth of what is, that we are all part of each other, that we are, indeed, all one, that there is no death, that it is the mind and the desire and the yearning for wholeness that keeps us from being whole. In that moment of such profound sadness a moment ago, it was as if I let go, finally, because the pain was so deep. I just simply let go. And I realized that to control life is to lose life, that in fact, all that I had thought to be true in the physical world was part of an illusion, a sacred dream, through which we learn.
