oh that hits home for me too. *hugs* i read you felt like what you wrote with your last poem. so i just hope you dont' feel that bad. We all go through that time i guess. its our choices and how we come out of it that makes us who we are. i'm always haunted by the darkness i lived in in the past, it's just matter of growing from it and letting it go. it is hard to do, i often go through spouts of saddness when it flies back at me, though i just let it go and it subsides again. here are a few songs hit home for me
1 - Creed - six feet from the edge
2 - Limp Bisket -= behind blue eyes
3 - evenescene - bring me to life
(and many more from that stage. but after that)
4 - the rasmus - in the shadows
5 - bryan addams - sound the bugle (from the spirit stallion of the cimmaron movie)
6 - Linkin park - breaking the habbit
7 - petre andre - insania.
It's a shame we go through these things, but i guess it's just testing us for the future. ;) for those who can sense you might know what i'm talking about...
anyway, i wrote a poem today too.
Through a Childs Eyes
the worlds full of mystery, wonder and fun
with all thoughts on toys, lollies and gum,
climbing like monkeys, mischief or not
no fear of the unknown or knowledge of knots
when we are older we forget these pure things
the way the seasons change and a song a bird sings
some people are dark others maybe light
most though are grey, growing in might,
no matter who you are, culture or background
we are one with the earth, growing from the ground,
like a pack of wolves we defend and grow
some are misguided though how we don't know,
when you're in trouble, when all is black
see the world as a child and do not look back,
the future is here so open the gate
you are the master of your own fate.
