Since I'm fairly new on the Wicca path, I'm not familiar with green witchcraft. Could you tell me what it is exactly? Thanks in advance! BB, BlueMars |

Merry Meet Swanwong1: Green Witch Craft deals more with the healing aspects of magic as well as herbal remedies and such. As the word Green implies it deals with Nature and all of her elements. Green Witches were in days of old also called hedge witches. They were the old wise woman of the villages that you went to in order to be healed or cured, maybe get a potion or two for things. They were also the midwives. I personally don't cast many spells or even a circle to do my thing. I go out in Nature and use what there is to heal or cure. I use candles for magic and a lot of herbs for healing and magic. Kitchen Witches are often Green witches as they use herbs and natural things in their cooking. There is a great series of books on the subject called the Green Witchcraft Series. You can ask LadyBeast how to get them as she sells them. I hope this has given you an inkling as to what Green Witchcraft is. If you have any more questions just ask and I will try to help you out. And if I am a little vague in areas let me know and I will try to be more specific. I am answering you from work right now and don't have my books here with me but I can get you more information if you would like it. Love and laughter |

Merry Meet Jaspenix: No I haven't written any books on the subject of Greenwitchcraft. I do like to write though maybe some day. I have the series you are talking about and it is an awesome series to help you on your path. If you are missing any of the series LadyBeast can help you complete it. There is also a tarot book that is out for GreenWitches also. I would be happy to help you if you would like with your books or discuss subjects you wish. Just let me know. Love and laughter |

MM Raveness, I am so glad you will be covering this aspect of the craft. Green Witchcraft interests me greatly, however I haven't done much reading up on the subject. The way you explained it was excellent. I just might have to get those books. I too, do not like the whole big ritualistic approach some magicks take on, Green Witchcraft sounds wonderful. I've just started studying Kitchen Witchery and I have a blast with it. Brightest Blessings. Autumn Rain |

MM Raveness, I too am studing the Green Witchcraft series by Ann Moura and I love her books. I was wondering do you go out into nature and cast circles? I love nature and I have a few spots that would be perfect for casting a circle. Just looking for your feedback. At one of the study groups Ladybeast mentioned that maybe in future you might consider doing a study group with one of Ann Moura books that would be so wonderful. |

Merry Meet Savy Sage: If you have the opportunity to go out to nature and cast your circles that that is great. I envy you. I don't often have this opportunity. I have a tree or two in my back yard that I converse with as well as my herb garden with my fairy statuary in it. I don't really cast circles, I use a techniques suggested to me by a wise old witch Silver Solstice who is now in Summerland. I envision a large white protective bubble encircling me as I do my magick. This works for best for me as I am often doing magick on the spot, such as healing and it isn't convienant for me to cast a circle. Do what feels right for you. A lot of witchs enjoy the ritual of casting circles and as my son says(we have discussed this often) The act of casting the circle helps to set the mind for the business at hand. Trust in your instincts and do what feels right for you. Hope I have helped you some and haven't confused you. If I have please ask me to clarify. Love and Lauhghter ~Raveness~ |

Merry Meet Autumn Rain: I am glad that my explaination was understandable. *S* I am not generally (in my opinion) a very good explainer. I am more of a let me show you person. I just hope if I have confused anyone that they step up and ask me to explain better. I have no problem doing that. *LOL* LadyBeast: Thanks for your confidence in my being able to explain and do this. Love and Laughter ~Raveness~ |
