Most spells do not have to be complicated.  Mine when I do them are usually very simple.  There are those who can make them more complicated and more ritualistic.  But I like to keep things as simple as possible.  One I can't really screw it up them and two I can remember it easily. *S*  here is on ethat I use when I have to and it works well for me.  Though as with all spells that are given to you unless it was written specificalkly for you, you should change it a little bit to make it connect to you.

 

Visualize a large white ( or whatever color is protective to you) bubble surrounding you,  Then say these words

Around( insert what you want to protect here )

I place this bubble

To protect from the cause of all trouble

So Mote it be!

 

As for herbs and charms there are many out there.

I use several different types of stones for protection.  Hemitite, obsidian, onyx, amber.

there are also all kinds of herbs.  You shoudl see if your library has the Scott Cunningham book  Encylopedia of Magical herbs.  It is a good one.

 

I wear an amber pendant for protection and often carry hemitite with me.  I have a large strand of it hanging from my rear view mirror.  It depends on what you want or need protection from as to what the different things are good for.

thanks! yup i read up lots of differnt herbs for protection and was just wondering how to put them together to make a protection charm. :) though tis ok! i'm reasearching books as ... right... now actually. lol! thanks

You can put your herbs together in a little pouch to carry with you.  The herbs to use depends on the type of protection you need.  you can make yourself up several little pouches to carry with you with different combinations.  use what feels right to you.  Utlimately magick is what works and feels right for you.  Now what combination that works for me maynot work for you.  I could probably work you up something if I knew there was something specific you needed protecting from. *S*  I am sorry if I am not more helpful.  Being a Green Witch you would think that I would be able to just whip something general up. hehehehehe.  The Goddess gives me what I need when the time is right.

lol. well... hmm conincidence about this maybe... but this morning i asked about this as I was going to post it on another group of mine...

 

however, i've made a new friend and chatted to him today and he's phycic and he has the talent of seeing the path someone is one. I asked he look into mine... and what he said is kinda freaky really...

 

mmhmmm... ok... Well he said he saw me on a path though it was blocked by a big white cloud, he wasn't sure what it was though though it  may be energy... he said i wanted to get to it though something was interferring... like a lot of negative energy. The negative energy was firing missiles it looked like at me and they were exploding. however i managed to reach this cloud and the door it had in it i think.... and I 'absorbed' it... i then turned upon this negative energy and destroyed it....

 

so he thinks something is either trailing me or trying to get at me... and he's not sure what the white cloud is either... hmm... i might try carring around some white sage in a pouch with me.... anything else that you know of that might help?? or opinions you have of this??
