Here I observe existence at the mid point of KNOWN being
Watching human entrance to this world, fighting for its first breath
Watching human exit from this world struggling for its last
How marvellously similar are our entrance and exit to this existence
Observing the cycle of life from my present perspective
Isn't the last battle we see for life in this world, the introduction of life to the next?
I imagine the infant exits the womb trying to hold on to what it knows, however crowded that world is.
As we fight for, and our loved ones desire us, to hold onto life on this plane....
Not KNOWING of the blessings of the afterlife. Because we, as the apostle Paul put it , "look through a mirror darkly"
We will gaze, aching, at the shell of humanity left behind.
Do you think the angels think it not curious observing us
As we would think it strange
If a mother longed for the return of the discarded "after birth"
Instead of celebrating the new life that has just begun.
