~HEART WINE~
The Abbess Hildegard von Bingen, who lived 800 years ago (1098 - 1179) died in her 81st year. As a so-called mystic, she had, while totally awake, visions before her eyes. As she explicitly testified and declared before her death, everything she had ever written originated from these heavenly pictures and words. All mentioned illnesses and described medications were revealed to her by God.
Pope Eugen III had her gift of vision verified and her charisma acknowledged by the church. Now, 800 years later, her medical knowledge has been recognised also by modern medicine.
Dr Hertzka, General Practitioner in Constance, Lake Constance, has given us the recipe for the heart wine in one of his books. This heart wine shows great success in all DISORDERS OF THE HEART AND CARDIAC WEAKNESSES and, as Dr Hertzka says, is of much importance in his daily practice. I, myself, have passed on this recipe several times and the success was surprisingly good. For ANGINA PECTORIS this wine gives noticeable relief.
RECIPE FOR HEART WINE
10 freshly picked Parsley stems with leaves are put into 1 litre of pure wine, 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar are added. This is simmered for 10 minutes on low heat (careful, it foams). Then 300 gm. of pure honey are added and everything is slighty boiled for 4 minutes, strained and, still hot, bottled. The bottles have to be rinsed beforehand with strong alcohol. Well stoppered. The sediment that forms does not harm and can be drunk.
Dr Hertzka says:" Which wine you take, be it red or white is of no importance, only it has to be pure. Only the order has to be adhered to. The honey is added after the first boiling and has to be boiled, too. Don't be afraid of boiling So boil yourself the Parsley-honey wine, so beneficial to the heart."
Dr Hertzka continues:"When your heart troubles you, take 1, 2 or even 3 or more tablespoonsful of this wine a day, and all pains in the heart, caused by change of the weather or excitement, will disappear as if blown away. You need not be anxious or afraid, because you cannot do any harm. Not only for slight pain in the heart, but also for cardiac weakness and real heart trouble, this Parsley-honey wine will do you a great service, maybe even bring about a recovery.
Maria Treben got this letter from Salzburgh on January 21st 1980 which she'd like to quote:" I want to tell you that I have prepared the wine and that I have obtained amazing results. 10 years ago I was operated on and told that I have a weak heart and therefore will always have pain, nothing could be done about it and I would have to accept it. But thanks to the wine all my complaints have vanished. After taking this Parsley-Honey wine for 2 months I do not feel weak anymore."
