A scientific principle is the conservation of matter and energy. This natural law states that matter can neither be created or destroyed; it can only change form. French chemist Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier discovered this principle in the late eighteenth century. Since then, several scientists, including John Dalton and Albert Einstein, refined and expanded on the principle. They found that the total amount of matter and energy in the universe always remains the same. The parts are just reassembled into new combinations.

We, as Soul, are divine sparks of God and can never be created nor destroyed. There is so much to learn here on planet earth and on other planets that it takes many lifetimes to master each aspect. Not all Souls incarnate at the same time, therefore the population on Earth does change.

Our belief is that we evolve in consciousness through many different forms of life, even in the plant and animal kingdoms. Our goals are to learn how to love, how to achieve self-mastery, and how to find our way home to the Ancient One.

Reincarnation provides an explanation for various elements of our life and our personality. Why are you attracted to certain places or certain types of people? Why does a young child show great musical talent when the parents have none? Why do some people seem wise beyond their years? Why do we have a very comfortable feeling around some people and not others? Why do we have the same lessons show up over and over again? How is it that we sometimes know things and we don't know where it came from? These and many other questions can be answered through understanding reincarnation.

Most of us lived before here on Earth. Some have come from other planets to Earth for a human experience. Our Soul reincarnates on the physical plane again and again until it graduates from the school of Earth. By choosing different bodies and different life experiences, the Soul learns to view life from all sides. Living as male or female, as black or white, as rich or poor, straight or gay, for example, the Soul tests and purifies itself.

The Soul then carries each new experience into the next life, although we don't normally remember. If we could remember all of our previous lives, the confusion would be overwhelming. Many spiritual paths believe we have had millions of incarnations.

We often return to be with family or friends that we know from a previous lifetime. The patterns of karma often bring us into contact with those we have known before. This is a thread, which runs between family and friends, neighbors and business associates, etc. Your brother from ancient Atlantis may be your Mother in this lifetime. Your enemy in WW1 may be your best friend today. The master of the household in Egypt may have been the slave in America during the Civil War.

If you look at your life only from the perspective of this life, many things don't make any sense. Another example would be: a rich man that gets taken to court and loses all his money to one of his business partners. We would say that is so unfair, until we look at his other lives. Then we might see that in a past life the rich man took advantage of the other man and stole all the money. In this life the rich man is just paying a debt. By looking at past lives you will see that the scales are made even.

We can remember our past lives if we so choose. Past life regressions are very popular today. We recommend that you ask your Higher Self to reveal that which would have a bearing on this life. You can also know some of your past lives by looking at your likes and dislikes, your fears and your loves, your karma and your lessons as well as your friends and your family.

There does come a point when you have worked through the lessons that you needed to get here on Earth and you choose not to reincarnate any more on the physical level. You may choose experiences on other planes or other planets or you may choose to stay in the Oneness of the Ancient One.

There are beings here in human form that came back to this planet at this time, not because they had to, but because they wanted to. This group of people is here to help Awaken the others in remembering Oneness and Love. Sometimes these beings are called "Living Masters" or "Whole Light Beings."
