So what are y'all getting on pics?? This is a great conversation for Halloween! I think there are priests who will come out and bless your house and help to send the ghosts to heaven. Maybe if you google it, you will find something. My brother who is a lawyer says that it is not ghosts that we should fear, it is the real human monsters like P's and NPD people who are the terrors we experience. Hugs, Had Enough |

Yesterday upon the stair I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to hell he'd go away William Hughes Mearns If this divorce ever finalizes and when I get the nasty N out of my cabin, I'm going to stencil that somewhere. Then I'm going to do some serious cleansing, first with bleach and then with candles. |

Be- if you have Windows, when you hit the reply button on these threads, it should, on the tool bar in the reply box, have a little icon with a pic of a mountain on it. Hit that button, go to the top where it has 'my online photos' 'my computer' and 'clipart gallery' and click on 'my computer', click browse, find your file in your documents, and then click add photos. Hope it works. Lots of Love, Love Kyra xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

I'm sitting there, shortening my granddaughter's jeans, when I remembered. I did see a ghost, as clearly as if I was looking at her in real life. A wonderful, almost-family neighbor we all loved died at 47 of cancer. The pain of losing her was great, as she was my sister, my mother, my best friend for years. The children adored her, she was the grandma they didn't have. Violet loved the sunshine. She had a free pass into our back yard, ours was sunnier than hers. I would look out the kitchen door, weather permitting, Violet was sitting in my back yard and enjoying the sun. She died I Feb. Come May, the weather improved, had a lot of lovely, sunny days. One day I'm at the kitchen sink and look out the window, and as clear as anything, there she was walking in front of her house, in the sunshine, she had her red windbreaker on. She looked as she always did. I would have doubted my eyes if it wasn't for my xNPh, who would have laughted at anyone who believed in ghosts. He was coming through the dining room, that had a window facing the same way as the kitchen one. He stopped for a few seconds, run into the kitchen, his face was ashen, and blurted out: Did you see that? Did you see Violet? I'm so glad I have remembered this, although I didn't count it as a ghost story. As far as I could tell, it was Violet. Even my xNPh seen her, so I know she was there. She died in the early seventies, and I still miss her. Here I go, crying again. Hugs, Dolly |

HI Dolly, My grandfather died in his fifties from lung cancer. My grandmother swore that every now and then while she was fixing herself some supper, she would feel him come up and kiss her on the neck like he did each night while they were together.(30 years). She lived until she was 88.This is beautiful, and makes me feel very sentimental just like you do with your Violet. What a sweet story! I'm so glad you had that experience. Hugs, Had |

Hi Beegee,
Boy, those are sweet stories, thanks Dolly and had enough!
I've had a few experiences, too, Beegee. Some were sweet, and some were creepy.
A fave story...had a woman ghost here. She'd died in childbirth. She didn't like me because she wanted to be my sons' mother. So, she was always hiding my things, etc.
I say that in all confidence because if I said, "In the Name of Jesus, I want my property returned." She'd always return it. (A "ghost expert" told me to do that, and darn it, it works!)
EG. was sitting one day, getting ready, talking to wasband. I put on one ear ring, feel her there, turn around to say something to him....he gets this ashen look, turn around and my other ear ring is gone.
He said he saw it vanish. I say I want my property returned, and there it is.
Funny story...had a student and I was looking for something and I said it got frustrating coz I never knew if I misplaced something of if that darned ghost took it.
She said she didn't believe in ghosts. I said I don't blame her.
She goes up to the bathroom. Comes back and is ashen. I can't get her to sing, hum, nothing. She just is sitting there.
Finally she says, "Your toothpaste is on the floor."
I have two toddlers, that's basically where we kept it.
She then tells me she was on the toilet. She felt something, looked over. She saw the hook come out of the eye on the medicine cabinet. The door opened and the toothpaste shot across the room.
Bet she was glad she was sitting where she was sitting!!
I had to laugh. What a freaking show off ghost!!

Thanks, Bee Gee, come by any time!
She's tamed down now, though. Knock on wood.
It is funny. Our house before here was an old log cabin, and was believed to be part of the underground railroad. There were skeletons in the crawl space underneath.
LOTS of activity there. There was one musical ghost that would turn the pages of my music when I was playing piano.
Some of it wasn't so much fun. So, moved here and we were standing in the driveway, looking up at the garage apartment. Wasband says, "Just think. No more ghosts."
Our neighbor from down the hill comes up, leaning on her cane....wearing one of those old fashioned bonnets. She says, "My mother in law died....right up there..." and points to the apartment.
sigh
One trick she played on me...I could feel her wanting to show off. My oldest was a toddler and was carrying the telephone in his hand. I could tell she was going to take it, somehow.
He turned in a circle, middle of the room, and when he came back around it was gone.
I had the sense it was in the baby swing. I go over and sure enough, nothing is there, but the phone started ringing. You could hear it rattling against the plastic.
I take him upstairs. I say, "In the name of Jesus, I want my property returned." (A "ghostbuster" told me to do that, and it does seem to work.)
Went down, and there was the phone sitting in the swing.
She had a thing for my wasband, though. He moved into the apartment and I'd often see him standing outside, not even bothering to get a jacket sometimes. He said he just had this overwhelming creepy feeling and needed out.
He moved to the next town and I haven't seen or heard much since.
