One of the NPD's in my life has an odd relationship with his sister. I don't think it's sexual (God, I hope not!) but she seems to be the 'woman' in his life, like maybe the only one who understands him or something?
I dunno, but it's weird. He has her name written like this in his phone 'SUPER SALLY' in all caps, no one else is in caps or has 'super' or anything else in front of it.
I saw him text messaging her 'I miss you too' at midnight while we were out together - that is WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i thought it was another girl - I wish that were the case. Believing him that it's his sister is worse,,,,,,, |

Come to think of it, my brother is the other NPD in my life and I always felt like he was attracted to me, but blew that off as crazy.
He used to crave a relationship with me - lots of normal people have 'stand-ins' like best guy friends or best girl pals when they're not in a relationship.
No sex, but there are just certain things we'd rather talk about with the opposite sex, do with the opposite sex, and do for us.
But both of these guys seem to want their sis to be that 'stand in', and sex or no sex that to me is weird.
A normal brother-sister closeness is good and fine, but there's something more to this.
Are we women that 'have' to love them? A 'guaranteed' source of NS and sometimes victim?
I don't agree with a lot of the posters here that all NPD's are to the full degree - neither of the ones in my life are dangerous.
However, my brother always does something to cause me to 'end' our relationship. So does the EX.
