I was curious about what the XNBF's employer might think about his failure to honor his debt. I sent a "janedoe" request for information relative to their stance on an employee's refusal to honor his obligations relative to debt.
The XNBF is an addictions counselor. Long/short: He's in a position to mess with people's heads.
If accountability is part of The 12-Step program, IMO ignoring your creditors falls under the category of "Not Really Working The 12 Steps." Not working the 12 Steps might be important in his line of work.
And I AM curious -- seriously -- to know if an institution such as the one that employs the XNBF would consider that to be an important issue or if they would be indifferent to how the employee handles this important aspect of his personal life.
If I were the employer, I'd want to at least have a sit-down and discuss the issue.
I'm not planning on making waves. I'm just curious.
