He also wrote and produced Band Aid's tune "Do They Know It's Christmas-time?" with musician Midge Ure. Band Aid later evolved into Live Aid, the first international real-time concert, broadcast across the globe for two days. Live Aid and Band Aid were created to bring relief to the starving people of Ethiopia.
Today, he is giving a talk to a packed crowd about his experiences in Africa and Ethiopia.
He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth for his continuing efforts to eradicate world hunger sparked by his creation of Live Aid.
Bob Geldof was married to tragic figure Paula Yates and had three daughters: Fifi Trixiebelle, Peaches Geldof, and Pixie who live with custodial parent Geldof.
