David Attenborough, brother of the actor Sir Richard Attenborough and one of TV's best loved wildlife experts, is here today in Reading to promote his new book which comes with the highly successful television programme Life Beneath The Undergrowth.
His distinguished career in broadcasting started over 50 years ago and currently an estimated 500 million people watched his Life Beneath The Undergrowth series.
In 1985 he was deservingly knighted for his incredible contribution to amazing television programmes, having filmed in all climates in just about every country.
The fans have queued a long time to meet him, and considering that his latest book is full of insects and all manner of nasty creatures the surprising majority of fans are girls, which suprises me as I haven't the nerve to open the book!
