Today's photo shoot is with a bird of prey, so could be quite interesting!
The Golden Eagle Isla has a 7 foot wingspan and appears in Rigoletto the Ellen Kent Opera International Production at The New Theatre in Oxford. She appears every night in the Italian Courtyard scene.
The opera is on tour of the UK finishing in Richmond in June.
Isla, the 4 year old golden eagle weighing 10 pounds with a 7 foot wingspan, is one of the first golden eagles to be bred by artificial insemination at Glasgow University. She is pictured with her falconer Derek Tindall.
She is one magnificent creature and the call takes a long time as she is very heavy on his arm. The people who have gathered to marvel at her are quite off-putting until he tells us she could fly off with a small child!
