Lock up your daughters! Duncan James is in town!
He is one of today's long-standing heart throbs with the teens. Since leaving the popular boy band Blue, he is now trying his luck as a solo artist. I think he will be successful whether he can sing or not, as the young girls seem to just want him for his looks and the photo opportunities!
At the signing, he is given all manner of gifts from flowers to teddy bears, poems to Action Men. I think there may be a joke we missed here!
Though Blue has never formally announced its permanent breakup, they split in July 2005, and all four members have moved on to solo careers. James has criticized the solo efforts of some of his former bandmates, referring to Ryan's first album as "rushed" and Costa's bid to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest as "cheesy."
Lets hope his solo songs will be better!
In October 2004, James collaborated with Keedie to release the single "I Believe My Heart", which entered the UK singles chart at #2. He returned to the solo music scene in May 2006 with his single "Sooner or Later", releasing the video in early May and planning to release the single commercially on June 5, 2006.
Due out on 12 June 2006, is James's debut solo album called Future Past.
