Today I am in my element! I have always been a little into the bizarre and today couldn't get more bizarre. For the first time in 100 years, there will be a live freak show called The Original Incredibles. Those of you familiar with The Circus of Horrors will have heard of Gary Stretch, Doktor Haze and Demon Dan.
As part of the famous Carters Steam Fair, who are boycotting the increasing fuel prices and have gone back to powering their traction engines by steam, are the host for the show.
Gary Stretch is extraordinarily unique. He has a rare skin condition, which means he literally is the rubber skin man. He pulls his skin out for inches, from every part of his body and I mean every! While I am watching the show the good bit comes. Doktor Haze wants volunteers! I love this bit... You get to see squemish men and woman get pulled through the wars!
I watch as the dwarf, Demon Dan, hunts for a participant and have to laugh, when he pulls me onto the stage! I am placed by Gary's side and the Doktor holds my arms out, tells me pinch two places on his side and on the count of three, pulls me back....his skin just stretches and stretches in my hand!!! He holds numerous Guiness Records including putting over 200 pegs on his skin.
Still amused by my five minutes of fame, I watch the rest of the show which involves laying on glass, opening bottles with eyelids and eating a lightbulb. Certainly not for the faint hearted, but if you wnt a treat for Halloween, watch out, they might be in an area near you!!
