The lovely Teri Hatcher, everyones favourite Desparate Housewife, is in town for two days. Normally we wouldn't travel to this part of the UK, but as she is quite an A lister we thought why not!
As we were stuck in 29 degrees of heat in the traffic and roadworks that are the wonderful M25, I was beginning to think we stayed local for a reason, but you must battle on!
All the photographers under the sun turned out for her, (it was quite a bun fight!) but worth it as she glided elegantly into the shop, smoothed down her gorgeous green silk dress and demanded some 'me space'. Everyone who purchased her autobiography Burnt Toast and Other Philosophies of Life were given a photocopied note from Teri thanking them for turning out to see her, which I thought was quite sweet as most celebs only see the pound signs not the people.
After a few minutes, the press were asked politely to leave, but as Geoff knew one of the security guards, he let him stay on as 'a member of the public' for a few extras, I always knew being nice would pay off!
So just as the day had started the wrong way it carried on, the laptop decided to pack up without us getting the images out to the agency, then on the way home the truck overheated (guess me opening my mouth and saying we should stay local wasn't such a good idea) talk about tempting fate! But it was nice to see someone I actually have the time to watch on TV. I have to confess to enjoying the show popular with the women, but the men seemed to remember her for her days in Superman with Dean Cane.
She told us her schedule for the UK was crammed, so I guess we will be seeing a lot more of Teri before the week is out, hopefully nearer to home!
