A packed crowd filled the lawns and seats of Meadowbrook Theatre for the final concert of the Train tour. The opening act fired up the crowd. Toby Light and her band combined a Norah Jones-esque sound with some underlying funk and grit. Her earthy voice combined with the phenominal band made for a great beginning to the night.
Train--Pat Monahan, ex-Black Crowes bassist Johnny Colt, keyboardist Brandon Bush, guitarist Jimmy Stafford and drummer Scott Underwood--toured promoting their January release "For Me, It's You."
They sang songs ranging the breadth of their career, from the first song they ever wrote to songs off the newest release. The crowd was on their feet for favorites like "Calling All Angels", "She's On Fire", "Hopeless", "Let it Roll", and the required "Drops of Jupiter".
The show was not only a musical hit, the lights and set for the stage added drama to the periodic solos from the keyboardist, drummer, and guitarist. Train ended this tour with a bang-up show that left the crowd roaring for more.
