Yesterday, he was in Swindon's Infinitely Better Store in the Brunel Centre signing autographs.
Fans had no chance of making the star angry, though, as the relaxed celebrity signed autographs with a friendly word for everybody.
Mr. Ferrigno, a well-respected bodybuilder, packed a punch when he came onto our screens in 1977 as the Incredible Hulk, the alter ego of scientist Dr David Banner. As the Incredible Hulk, he was a frustrated and angry superhero searching for a cure to his affliction.
He then went on to appear in several films before landing a recurring role in the current US sitcom King of Queens.
Indeed, he had to cancel a visit to Swindon last year due to filming commitments. With his muscles bulging through his tight green top, Mr. Ferrigno said, "This is the first time I've ever come to Swindon but it seems like a great place."
"The Hulk was a very popular superhero. For a lot of people he was a very powerful character, able to let out his rage at modern life through the destruction he created." said Ferrigno. "He also walked a fine line between good and evil. He was a lot more human with real flaws, and that is why viewers related to him."
The Incredible Hulk was joined in his autograph signing by Yvonne Craig, who played the original Batgirl in the television series Batman.
In the series she played Commissioner Gordon's daughter Barbara during the 1967-68 season, which was the end of the run for the show.
She was also an ex-girlfriend of Elvis Presley and starred in two films with him: It Happened at the World's Fair and Kissing Cousins. Glamour Puss graphics courtesy of PeppermintPattie
