The MSN Groups search page can be frustrating, to say the least. If you want to search for specific things within MSN Groups, try using a few Google tricks.
Google has a method of limiting your search results to a specific web site. So if you want to search for something within MSN Groups, simply add
site:groups.msn.com
to your search parameters in the Google box.
For example, try searching for "Hidden Gems" on the MSN Groups search page vs. Google. MSN Groups Serach brought up 19 hits (better than I expected). Google, when I entered "hidden gems" site:groups.msn.com brought back 340 hits. Of course, 340 hits may be more than you really wanted.
Another example, this time looking for a specific person on MSN Groups. I typed in kilgore trout on the MSN search page, and it brought back one result only, for a page that doesn't actually exist any more.
On Google, "kilgore trout" site:groups.msn.com brought back 14 results, so that I could track the little monster to see where he lurks in MSN Groups (Medieval role-playing??? who'd-a-thunk-it)
Try typing in your own MSN nickname (or nicknames, as is the case with some of us) on the two different search engines and see the results.
Or you can use this..
