hi ive just discovered this site! my x boyfriend has NPD. can anyone tell me if i suffered from ss when i was with him. I made excuses for his bad behaviour even lied for him. I have read about patty hearst and it was something like that, only he was very abusive verbally. terrible things came out of his mouth.  I feel he brainwashed me like being in a cult.  i am getting better each day i am away from him, but i still feel very confused as to what happened!
